Welcome to the Most Endangered List Archive
The Most Endangered List Program began in 1993 to raise awareness of historically and architecturally significant properties facing threats such as demolition, deterioration, and insensitive development. Kansas Preservation Alliance solicited nominations from individuals and organizations throughout the state. The list is updated each year to generate discussion and support for saving the places that matter to Kansans. Stopping the list after 2014, the Abandoned Atlas Foundation has worked diligently for the last year on getting the list back up and running as well as creating this comprehensive archive of all locations. Together, the Abandoned Atlas Foundation and Kansas Preservation Alliance have debuted the first list in 8 years in 2022.
